Video: The Matrix Meets Family Guy!

Here’s a shout out to all of you Family Guy fans out there.  I just stumbled onto a video that meshes Family Guy with The Matrix!  Next to peanut butter and chocolate, I can’t think of a better combination!  So put on your Matrix sunglasses and check out the video below!

Maybe I’m biased because I am a huge Family Guy fan, but this video is ‘freaking’ hilarious!  It is 3 years old and as such I can’t believe I just found it now; but as they say, better late than never.  The voiceover elements are particularly funny, with Brian as Morpheus (no Morpheus sunglasses though…big oversight!), Peter as Neo, Lois as Trinity, and Stewie as Agent Smith.  There are even a few bit parts for Chris, Joe and Quagmire as well.

The video intermingles some classic Family Guy scenes with something akin to The Matrix movie trailer.  The placement of these scenes, along with the character voiceovers and the actual music from the movie, are perfectly executed and add to the hilarity.  For example, we hear Peter uttering Neo’s famous “whoa” quote as well as Neo’s “guns…lots of guns” line.  We also hear Brian quoting Morpheus’ “have you ever had a dream that you were so sure was real” spiel.  We also see Lois saying Trinity’s line, “the answer is out there, it’s the question that drives us.”  And perhaps most hilarious of all, we see Stewie uttering the famous Agent Smith line, “human beings are a disease…and we are the cure.”

So, if you have a spare five minutes and you like Family Guy, I highly recommend that you check out the video.  Chances are, if you are anything like me, you’ll wind up watching it several times in a row while laughing out loud each and every time.  Enjoy!
