Top 10 Most Unique Celebrity Sunglasses of All Time

I just read an article that highlighted some of the most incredibly unique celebrity sunglasses ever worn.  As soon as I saw the pictures of these cool shades I just knew I had to highlight the article on this blog.  Don’t look for our Matrix Sunglasses to mirror these odd styles anytime soon, but I think the pictures are worth viewing from purely an entertainment point of view.  The full article and pictures can be viewed by pasting this URL into your browser:

Some of the unique sunglasses you will see include Kurt Cobain’s alien / bug eye sunglasses, Ozzy’s Lennon specs (which closely resemble our very own Seraph Sunglasses), and Lady Gaga’s cigarette shades.  Also included on the list are Laforge’s accordion-looking shades that he wore while filming episodes of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” (which ran from 1987-1994), Kayne Shutter’s “mini blind” shades, and the classic Ray Bans worn by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi in the original Blue’s Brothers movie.

In my opinion, the Lady Gaga shades featured in the article are probably the most unique sunglasses I’ve ever seen.  I mean, have you ever seen sunglass lenses made from cigarettes?  Me neither!  A close second would be Kurt Cobain’s alien shades.

But like most “top 10” lists there are of course some omissions.  For example, I probably would have included Bootsy Collins’ star-shaped shades, Yoko Ono’s Porshe wrap around shades, and Elton John’s wire-spiral sunglasses circa 1974 (along with a bunch of other Elton John styles…after all, wearing weird sunglasses was the guy’s shtick back in the 1970’s).  But I’m just being picky; I think the list is pretty good as-is.

So go ahead and take a look by pasting the above URL into your web browser.  It will only take you a couple of minutes to check out all the styles, and I’m pretty sure you will be blown away by at least a few of them.  See you on the other side!
