The Office Space Matrix

What I’m about to share with you today is a mash-up that is truly special to me, as The Matrix and Office Space are 2 of my all-time favorite flicks!  Office Space was created in 1999 by Mike Judge, who is probably most famous for creating the animated classics Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill.  If you’ve never seen the movie, I highly recommend it – especially if you currently work, or have ever worked, in an office or corporate environment (or if you’re a Dilbert fan!).  Assuming you have seen and liked the film, you absolutely must check out this hilarious mash-up right now.

The video starts out with Neo sitting at his desk (unfortunately minus the Neo Sunglasses).  Then his phone rings and it’s none other than Milton Waddams, complaining about the never-ending mistreatment he gets from management.  After listing to Milton’s desperate rant, Neo basically goes into a panic as he sees boss Bill Lumbergh enter the cube farm.   So instead of Agent Smith, in this mash-up Neo is desperately trying to dodge Lumbergh (while still listening to Milt’s blabbering!).

But just then…Neo wakes up in his own bed.  It was all just a cruel dream, right?  Not so fast!  Less than 5 seconds after he awakens, the phone rings and it’s none other than…wait for it…Lumbergh, asking Neo to come in on his day off.  And that’s how it ends!

Yes it’s an abrupt ending but it’s probably worth the 2 minutes it takes to watch the video, as there are definitely a couple of funny moments.  My only beef with the video is that it doesn’t feature any Matrix Sunglasses, but hey, you can’t have everything!  So go ahead, eat the red pill and give it a quick watch right now.  Something tells me you’ll be happy that you did.  Enjoy!
