The Matrix, Featuring Scott Pilgrim

I just found yet another funny Matrix-related video for your enjoyment!  This one is a parody that sort of meshes The Matrix with the movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.  It’s basically designed to be a movie trailer, with scenes from The Matrix that feature voiceovers from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.  If you’re not familiar with the movie, the quick synopsis is that Scott meets the girl of his dreams (Ramona), but must battle and defeat her 7 evil exes in order to win her heart.  It’s a pretty funny video, so whip out your Matrix sunglasses and check it out right now!

The video starts with the club scene from The Matrix, where Trinity and Neo first meet.  From there, the group discusses the new girl in town that “Scott-Neo” is interested in (again, using voiceovers from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World).  We then see Scott-Neo asking Ramona-Trinity out over the phone.  Somehow, she agrees to go out on a date with him (a night out that features dancing in Zion of all places!).  But unfortunately, the fun doesn’t last long, as Scott-Neo realizes he must battle the first evil ex – who happens to be Morpheus!  The other evil exes include the likes of Seraph, Agent Smith (along with his Agent Smith Sunglasses!), the Twins, and a few others.

From there, the video progresses in rapid-fire succession, just like a typical movie trailer.  The scenes are all from The Matrix, but the audio (voices and music) is from the Scott Pilgrim movie (with the exception of the obligatory ‘whoa’ from Neo).  Heck, there’s even a Super Mario Bros. reference thrown in for good measure!  I love it!

So, that is my synopsis of the video.  It’s only 2.5 minutes long, so I recommend you give it a quick watch.  Not only is it funny, but it is also reasonably well done, which seems like a rarity these days on YouTube.  Enjoy!
