Ah, here in New Jersey – where Matrix Eyewear is located – summertime is right around the corner. The days are getting longer, the temperatures are creeping higher…and the sun is getting brighter!
Yes, summer is coming, and if you are like most people, you will be wearing your Matrix Sunglasses (hopefully) more during the summer months than any other time of the year, combined. And that is a good thing, because it’s critical to protect your eyes from the harmful UV rays of the sun.
In light of the warmer weather, I thought I would review some important safety tips related to your sunglasses. No matter if you have Neo Sunglasses, Agent Smith Sunglasses, Seraph Sunglasses, Morpheus Sunglasses, or something else, these tips are worth a quick read. All of these are common sense, but a reminder is good every once in a while.
First and foremost, if you are out in the bright sunshine, wear your Matrix Eyewear! We use only top quality lenses that are protective as well as cool looking. But whether you wear Matrix Sunglasses or some other type, make sure the lenses are equipped with UV400 protection, which is the best protection available for your eyes.
And wearing sunglasses is even more critical in certain situations, such as swimming in a pool (reflective light), playing a sport such as basketball or volleyball that requires looking up, or being on a beach where hazy sunshine can fool you into thinking the sun is not as bright as it really is. It is also a good idea to wear scratch-resistant and shatterproof lenses for obvious reasons.
Also, make sure you wear comfortable sunglasses that fit properly. If you are like most people, you are typically more active in the summer than at any other time of the year, so your sunglasses need to stay on!
Additionally, whether it is Matrix Sunglasses or another style, sunglasses that are too small will not only decrease your comfort level, but they can also allow UV rays to creep into your eyes. So if your sunglasses seem to be too large or too small for your face, time to buck up and get a new pair! This is why we offer multiple styles – like Neo Sunglasses, Agent Smith Sunglasses, Seraph Sunglasses & Morpheus Sunglasses – because different people have differently shaped and sized heads.
Finally, make sure you keep the lenses clean. Believe it or not, dirty lenses can cause long-term vision problems, so use the microfiber bags you receive with our Matrix Eyewear, or some other cleaning mechanism, to regularly remove smudges, streaks and smears.
So, there you have it – a few common sense tips to help you from going blind this summer! And hey, while you’re here, why not check out some of our excellent Matrix Sunglasses? Whether it’s the Neo Sunglasses, Agent Smith Sunglasses, Seraph Sunglasses, or the Morpheus Sunglasses, you can rest assured that we use only the highest quality materials and most protective lenses you will ever find.
