Shipping Policy Overview

Friday, January 15th, 2010

For this week’s post, I’d like to touch on everybody’s favorite subject – shipping policies for our Matrix Sunglasses!  Ok, but seriously, we get a lot of questions about this so I think it’s worthwhile to provide some specifics.  Other posts have touched on this topic, but this time I will be going into greater detail.

First and foremost, whether you order the Morpheus Sunglasses, Neo Sunglasses, Agent Smith Sunglasses, or any other style from our website, you can rest assured that you will NEVER be charged for shipping.  It does not matter if you live in the US, UK, South Africa, Pakistan, or anywhere else on Earth, you will enjoy free shipping every time you order a pair of our excellent Matrix Sunglasses.

Of course, there is a tradeoff here – while we do provide tracking numbers for US shipments, we are not able to provide these details for international shipments.  To do so would be cost-prohibitive, making our free shipping policy unfeasible.   The good news is that our packages rarely have any problems reaching their destinations, and in the rare cases there is a problem our policy is to immediately ship a replacement package.

We use the US Postal Service (USPS) for all shipments.  We aim to get packages out the door within 1-3 business days after an order is placed.  Once shipped, US customers usually receive their orders in 2-3 business days, and international customers anywhere from 10-15 days on average.

We ship all of our Matrix sunglasses in plain brown boxes, well-packed with recycled materials.  We do not wish to draw any unnecessary attention to our boxes, so we made a conscious decision to make them as unassuming as possible.   Depending on the country, colorful boxes that draw the attention of unscrupulous customs workers tend to vanish in thin-air.  We do not believe there is any reason to take this risk.

Finally, we mark all international shipments as “gift” in order to avoid customs charges.  Whenever a package is labeled as a gift, no value is declared and thus no taxes or fees can be levied.  This is not applicable for US shipments.

Well, that concludes your master’s course in MatrixEyewear.com ‘s shipping policies!  I hope you found it informative and helpful.  Check out our Matrix Sunglasses today, especially our best-selling  Morpheus Sunglasses, Neo Sunglasses, and Agent Smith Sunglasses.  I think you will be glad you did.

Till next time, “Mr. Anderson”…

Helpful Hints for MatrixEyewear.com

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

Well, Halloween has come and gone and I must say that the characters from The Matrix movies are still extremely popular even to this day.  It has been 6 years since the last Matrix movie, yet demand for Matrix sunglasses is as strong as ever.  This is a testament to the iconic nature of the Trilogy, as well as the ultra-premium quality of our replica sunglasses.

October was a record month for MatrixEyewear.com, and I had a lot of opportunity to talk to customers about our products and services.  The feedback was excellent, and I thank each and every one of you!  I also received some great questions, and I thought it would be helpful to highlight a few of the most commonly-asked questions I received.

First, the standard free pair for the buy 2, get one free deal is the Neo Reloaded Sunglasses.  However, it is absolutely no problem to provide an alternative model for the free pair if you wish (any style except the Morpheus Sunglasses…sorry!).  Just send me an email with your desired free pair and I will make it happen!

Second, yes we do have a full 1-year, “no questions asked” return/refund policy.  We realize that buying from the Internet is sometimes tricky because you cannot touch and see the physical product.  Especially with our Matrix sunglasses, there is obviously no way to try them on to see how they look on your face.  Additionally, we truly believe we offer high-quality, superior products, and we stand behind all of our Matrix eyewear 100%.  Put it all together, and you can see why we have no problem whatsoever offering this industry-best warranty.

Third, yes shipping is totally free whether you live in the US, UK, Japan or Croatia!  We use the USPS for all shipping, and unless they dramatically raise their postage rates, we will always ship for free.

Fourth, we pack all orders in plain brown boxes that are designed to be as inconspicuous as possible.  We do not have any fancy graphics or “Matrix Eyewear” marketing banter on the boxes.  We feel it is better NOT to draw attention to the packages because, let’s face it, there are some unscrupulous postal workers out there!

We also mark all international packages as “gift” and therefore you should not have to pay any customs charges.

Finally, yes, the Morpheus Sunglasses include a hard shell case absolutely free.  Every other style of our Matrix sunglasses comes with a free microfiber bag.  These include all 3 Neo sunglasses, the Agent Smith Sunglasses, Trinity Sunglasses, both Twins sunglasses, and the Seraph Sunglasses.

The Matrix Eyewear “Crazy” 365-Day Warranty

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

Last week, a customer asked me how it is possible to offer our industry-leading 365-day “no questions asked” money-back guarantee on all of our Matrix sunglasses.  This is certainly a loaded question that got the creative juices flowing.  After thinking about her question, I thought it would make a great topic for this week’s blog post.

The short answer is that we can offer this “crazy” warranty because our Matrix sunglasses are of exceptional quality.  No other competitor can hold a candle to our level of quality, and that is why no other competitor comes close to offering a 1-year warranty.  Sure, if you are simply looking for a Matrix Halloween costume, any competitors’ sunglasses will fit the bill.  But if you want legitimate, premium sunglasses – the “real deal” – you’ll have to shop at matrixeyewear.com.

So how do we ensure top-notch quality?  Well, we use only the most reputable suppliers for our lenses and frames.  In fact, our entire company in particular was built around offering only the highest quality lenses possible, because we strongly believe that the quality of the lens dictates the quality of the sunglasses.  We ONLY use shatterproof and scratch-resistant polycarbonate lenses that have UV400 protection (that’s the best you can get)

While not quite as critical as the lenses, the frames also must be of high quality to enable our crazy guarantee.  Specifically, we insist on using metal frames and screws in the manufacturing process, not plastic ones (obviously this does not apply to the Morpheus Sunglasses…which have no frames!).

These same high product quality standards apply to all of our Matrix eyewear – Neo Sunglasses, Trinity Sunglasses, Morpheus Sunglasses, Twins Sunglasses, Seraph Sunglasses, and the Agent Smith Sunglasses.  No matter which style you get, you can rest assured that you’ll be getting the best quality available.

The fact that we receive very few warranty requests really proves the point here.  We have been in business for over 6 years and have literally sold thousands of pairs of Matrix eyewear, and yet our warranty requests have been far less than 1% of total sales during this time.  And the warranty requests we do receive are almost always because a customer decides he does not like the look of the sunglasses on his actual face, not because of poor quality.

But hey, do not take my word for it.  Buy yourself some of our Matrix sunglasses and see for yourself!  I’ll bet you’ll be glad you did.
